Personal HonorsProfessor Liu Yunqi has a quick mind and exceptional memory and is a Go expert at amateur 6-dan level. Born into a theatrical family, he graduated fifth in his class from the Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University, in 1984. After graduation, he worked successively at his alma mater Xiangya Hospital and the Department of Plastic Surgery, Guangdong Medical College. In 1999, 2003, and 2006, he worked and studied successively at the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in the United States, and the Xinmeiyan Plastic and Aesthetic Hospital in South Korea, and studied under the world-renowned American rhinoplasty master Professor JACK GUNTER. He has more than 20 years of experience in medical plastic and aesthetic surgery, has received multiple national, provincial, and municipal scientific research achievement awards, and has published more than 10 academic works and papers. He is chief plastic surgeon, professor of plastic surgery, and chief physician at more than 10 plastic surgery institutions in China. He has successfully sculpted more than 10,000 beautiful, youthful faces and successfully completed more than 1,000 revision surgeries for failed cosmetic procedures. He has designed images and sculpted faces for many performing arts stars in China, helping them achieve success and fame. He has been praised by peers and the media as "a star behind the stars," "a magician in the operating room," "a plastic surgery master of consummate skill," and "a renowned plastic surgery master in Asia."
